RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Asymptomatic hyperuricemia (HUA) and normouricemic gout are common in clinic but recommendations for them in hypertension management are absent. The present study aims to simultaneously evaluate the effect of HUA and gout on long-term mortality in hypertension. METHODS: Individuals from 2007-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were enrolled. Hazard ratios and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated with the aid of the Cox proportional-hazards model. The restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis was made to show the dose-response relationship between uric acid and mortality. All-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality were compared using the Kaplan-Meier curve with a log-rank test. RESULTS: Thirty thousand eight hundred and nineteen eligible individuals were included, of which 5841 suffered from HUA and 1476 suffered from gout. During a median follow-up of 7.25 (95% CI 7.18-7.32) years, 2924 (6.8%) patients died, including 722 (1.6%) cases of cardiovascular death. Hypertensive patients with HUA and gout showed 1.34 and 1.29 times higher all-cause mortality compared with those without HUA or gout. For hypertensive patients without gout, HUA was significantly associated with higher risk of all-cause [1.27 (1.13, 1.43)] and cardiovascular [1.80 (1.44, 2.24)] mortality compared with normouricemia. However, for hypertensive patients without HUA, gout was associated with a higher mortality but not statistically significant. A J-shaped relationship was found between serum uric acid and mortality. CONCLUSION: HUA and gout are additive risk factors for all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in hypertension. Furthermore, asymptomatic HUA is significantly associated with poor long-term prognosis but normouricemic gout is not.

RESUMEN

The optimized winter wheat sowing method comprising wide-belt sowing (WBS) can improve the ears number and biomass to increase the grain yield, compared with conventional narrow-drill sowing (NDS). The seed rate and the interaction between the sowing method and seed rate also affect yield formation. However, the effects of the sowing method and seed rate, as well as their interaction on biomass production, particularly the interception of solar radiation (ISR) and radiation use efficiency (RUE), are unclear. A field experiment was conducted for two seasons in southern Shanxi province, China, using a split-plot design with sowing method as the main plot (WBS and NDS) and seed rate as the sub-plot (100-700 m-2). Our results showed that while WBS had a significant and positive effect, increasing the yield by 4.7-15.4%, the mechanism differed between seed rates. Yield increase by WBS was mainly attributed to the increase in total biomass resulting from both the promoted pre- and post-anthesis biomass production, except that only the increase in post-anthesis biomass mattered at the lowest seed rate (100 m-2). The higher biomass was attributed to the increased ISR before anthesis. After anthesis, the increased ISR contributed mainly to the increased biomass at low seed rates (100 and 200 m-2). In contrast, the increased RUE, resulting from the enhanced radiation distribution within canopy and LAI, contributed to the higher post-anthesis biomass at medium and high seed rates (400 to 700 m-2). The greatest increases in total biomass, pre-anthesis ISR, and post-anthesis RUE by WBS were all achieved at 500 seed m-2, thereby obtaining the highest yield. In summary, WBS enhanced grain yield by increasing ISR before anthesis and improving RUE after anthesis, and adopting relatively higher seed rates (400-500 m-2) was necessary for maximizing the positive effect of WBS, and thus the higher wheat yield.

RESUMEN

Pompano fishes have been widely farmed worldwide. As a representative commercial marine species of the Carangidae family, the golden pompano (Trachinotus blochii) has gained significant popularity in China and worldwide. However, because of rapid growth and high-density aquaculture, the golden pompano has become seriously threatened by various diseases. Cell lines are the most cost-effective resource for in vitro studies and are widely used for physiological and pathological research owing to their accessibility and convenience. In this study, we established a novel immortal cell line, GPF (Golden pompano fin cells). GPF has been passaged over 69 generations for 10 months. The morphology, adhesion and extension processes of GPF were evaluated using light and electron microscopy. GPF cells were passaged every 3 days with L-15 containing 20 % fetal bovine serum (FBS) at 1:3. The optimum conditions for GPF growth were 28 °C and a 20 % FBS concentration. DNA sequencing of 18S rRNA and mitochondrial 16S rRNA confirmed that GPF was derived from the golden pompano. Chromosomal analysis revealed that the number pattern of GPF was 48 chromosomes. Transfection experiments demonstrated that GPF could be utilized to express foreign genes. Furthermore, heavy metals (Cd, Cu, and Fe) exhibited dose-dependent cytotoxicity against GPF. After polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid (poly I:C) treatment, transcription of the retinoic acid-inducible gene I-like receptor (RLR) pathway genes, including mda5, mita, tbk1, irf3, and irf7 increased, inducing the expression of interferon (IFN) and anti-viral proteins in GPF cells. In addition, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation up-regulated the expression of inflammation-related factors, including myd88, irak1, nfκb, il1ß, il6, and cxcl10 expression. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study on the immune response signaling pathways of the golden pompano using an established fin cell line. In this study, we describe a preliminary investigation of the GPF cell line immune response to poly I:C and LPS, and provide a more rapid and efficient experimental material for research on marine fish immunology.

RESUMEN

Fractional vegetation cover (FVC) is a crucial indicator to estimate degradation and desertification for grasslands. However, traditional small-scale FVC analysis methods, such as visual estimation and point-sampling, are cumbersome and imprecise. Innovative methods like image-based FVC analysis methods, while accurate, face challenges such as complex analytical procedures and the necessary training for operations. Therefore, in this study, a combined application of ImageJ and Photoshop was employed to achieve a more effective analysis of FVC values in desertification areas. Our results showed that the FVC results obtained by combination of Photoshop and ImageJ were dependable and precise (R2 > 0.98), demonstrating equivalency to results obtained through either visual estimation or Photoshop-based methods. Furthermore, even in the face of background interference and varied shooting angles, the combination of ImageJ and Photoshop software was still able to maintain a low error rate when analyzing FVC values (average error rate = - 2.6%). In conclusion, the imaged-based combined FVC analysis method employed in our research was an effective, precise, and efficient technique for analyzing small-scale FVC, promising substantial improvement over conventional methods.

RESUMEN

Adipocytes are the primary sites for fatty acid storage, but the synthesis rate of fatty acids is very low. The physiological significance of this phenomenon remains unclear. Here, we show that surplus fatty acid synthesis in adipocytes induces necroptosis and lipodystrophy. Transcriptional activation of FASN elevates fatty acid synthesis, but decreases NADPH level and increases ROS production, which ultimately leads to adipocyte necroptosis. We identify MED20, a subunit of the Mediator complex, as a negative regulator of FASN transcription. Adipocyte-specific male Med20 knockout mice progressively develop lipodystrophy, which is reversed by scavenging ROS. Further, in a murine model of HIV-associated lipodystrophy and a human patient with acquired lipodystrophy, ROS neutralization significantly improves metabolic disorders, indicating a causal role of ROS in disease onset. Our study well explains the low fatty acid synthesis rate in adipocytes, and sheds light on the management of acquired lipodystrophy.

RESUMEN

Different types of cells uptake fatty acids in response to different stimuli or physiological conditions; however, little is known about context-specific regulation of fatty acid uptake. Here, we show that muscle injury induces fatty acid uptake in muscle stem cells (MuSCs) to promote their proliferation and muscle regeneration. In humans and mice, fatty acids are mobilized after muscle injury. Through CD36, fatty acids function as both fuels and growth signals to promote MuSC proliferation. Mechanistically, injury triggers the translocation of CD36 in MuSCs, which relies on dynamic palmitoylation of STX11. Palmitoylation facilitates the formation of STX11/SNAP23/VAMP4 SANRE complex, which stimulates the fusion of CD36- and STX11-containing vesicles. Restricting fatty acid supply, blocking fatty acid uptake, or inhibiting STX11 palmitoylation attenuates muscle regeneration in mice. Our studies have identified a critical role of fatty acids in muscle regeneration and shed light on context-specific regulation of fatty acid sensing and uptake.

RESUMEN

Oxaliplatin is a widely applied anti-cancer drug in clinics for colorectal cancer (CRC) treatment. Nonetheless, the treatment efficacy is always limited by the acquisition of chemoresistance in cancer cells. The deregulation of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) FAL1 has been implicated in the tumorigenesis and progression of different malignancies. Nevertheless, the possible contribution of lnc-FAL1 in drug resistance development of CRC has not been investigated. Here, we reported the overexpression of lnc-FAL1 in CRC samples, and elevated lnc-FAL1 levels seemed to be associated with the poor survival in CRC patients. We further demonstrated that lnc-FAL1 promoted oxaliplatin chemoresistance in both cell and animal model. Additionally, lnc-FAL1 was mainly derived from exosomes secreted by cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs), and lnc-FAL1-containing exosomes or lnc-FAL1 overexpression significantly inhibited oxaliplatin-induced autophagy in CRC cells. Mechanistically, lnc-FAL1 acted as a scaffold for the interaction between Beclin1 and TRIM3 to promote TRIM3-dependent Beclin1 polyubiquitination and degradation, thereby suppressing oxaliplatin-induced autophagic cell death. In summary, these data imply a molecular mechanism through which CAF-derived exosomal lnc-FAL1 contributes to the acquisition of oxaliplatin resistance in CRC.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: Lumbopelvic pain (LPP) is common in pregnant women and has a significant negative effect on physical and psychological health. In this study, for the first time, we conduct a meta-analysis to estimate the overall prevalence of LPP among pregnant women and clarify the reasons for the differences in the estimated results. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A systematic search of four databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials) was conducted from inception until October 2022. Two reviewers conducted a methodological quality assessment. Random-effects model analysis was used to estimate the pooled prevalence and the 95% confidence interval. Chi-square tests and I2 -values were used to assess the heterogeneity. Subgroup analysis (according to the participants' continent, age, body mass index [BMI], gestational age and study risk of bias), sensitivity analysis and random-effects meta-regression were used to explore the the sources of heterogeneity. RESULTS: Of the 1661 unique citations, 38 studies (21 533 pregnant participants) were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis. The overall pooled prevalence of LPP during pregnancy was 63% (95% CI: 0.57 to 0.69), with significant heterogeneity (I2 = 99.1%, P < 0.001). The prevalence differed by participants' continents, 71% (North America), 74% (South America), 63% (Asia), 64% (Europe), 59% (Africa) and 45% (Oceania). The prevalence differed by BMI, 64% (BMI <25), 64% (25 ≤ BMI ≤ 28), and 71% (BMI >28). The prevalence differed by age, 72% (age <25 years), 58% (25 ≤ age ≤ 30 years), and 69% (age >30 years). The prevalence were the same differed by study risk of bias, 63% (both low and moderate risk of bias studies). The prevalence were similar by gestational age, 62% (second trimester) and 63% (third trimester). CONCLUSIONS: Lumbopelvic pain during pregnancy is common; about three-fifths of pregnant women experience LPP. More prevention and intervention research for lumbopelvic should be conducted in pregnant women with different clinical characteristics.

RESUMEN

ObjectiveTo investigate the protective effect of total lignans of Arctii Fructus on the retinal tissue in the rat model of type 2 diabetes mellitus. MethodWistar rats were randomized into normal, model, solvent, Shuangdan Mingmu Capsules (618 mg·kg-1), and low-, medium-, and high-dose (100, 200, 400 mg·kg-1, respectively) total lignans of Arctii Fructus groups, with 16 rats in each group. The rat model was established by streptozotocin (STZ) combined with a high-fat diet and administrated with corresponding drugs by gavage once a day for 14 weeks. At the 14th week, blood was sampled for the collection of serum from the abdominal aorta after anesthesia, and bilateral eyeballs were collected and frozen. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to observe the histopathological changes of the retinal tissue in rats. The pathological changes of retinal vascular network in rats were observed by retinal vascular tissue digestion and mounting The levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in the serum were determined by the ELISA kit. ResultCompared with the normal group, the solvent group showed pathological changes in the retinal tissue, reduced retinal ganglion cells (P<0.01), and retinal thinning (P<0.01), decreased E/P value in retinal blood vessels (P<0.01), and elevated serum levels of VEGF, TNF-α, and ICAM-1 (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the total lignans of Arctii Fructus increased the retinal ganglion cells (P<0.01), thickened the retina (P<0.01), and lowered the serum levels of VEGF, TNF-α, and ICAM-1 (P<0.05, P<0.01). ConclusionTotal lignans of Arctii Fructus may lower the VEGF, TNF-α, and ICAM-1 levels to protect the retina.

RESUMEN

Many metabolic diseases are caused by disorders of lipid homeostasis. CIDEC, a lipid droplet (LD)-associated protein, plays a critical role in controlling LD fusion and lipid storage. However, regulators of CIDEC remain largely unknown. Here, we established a homogeneous time-resolved fluorescence (HTRF)-based high-throughput screening method and identified LPXN as a positive regulatory candidate for CIDEC. LPXN and Hic-5, the members of the Paxillin family, are focal adhesion adaptor proteins that contribute to the recruitment of specific kinases and phosphatases, cofactors, and structural proteins, participating in the transduction of extracellular signals into intracellular responses. Our data showed that Hic-5 and LPXN significantly increased the protein level of CIDEC and enhanced CIDEC stability not through triacylglycerol synthesis and FAK signaling pathways. Hic-5 and LPXN reduced the ubiquitination of CIDEC and inhibited its proteasome degradation pathway. Furthermore, Hic-5 and LPXN enlarged LDs and promoted lipid storage in adipocytes. Therefore, we identified Hic-5 and LPXN as novel regulators of CIDEC. Our current findings also suggest intervention with Hic-5 and LPXN might ameliorate ectopic fat storage by enhancing the lipid storage capacity of white adipose tissues.

RESUMEN

Background: Tobacco cessation is proven to be the most effective and cost-effective strategy for smokers to reduce their risk of smoking-related disease and premature death. Providing effective, efficient, safe, and patient-centred tobacco cessation treatment to reach those who need them is a significant challenge. To date, only a few nationwide studies in China have assessed the overall clinical care practice and treatment outcome of tobacco cessation. Methods: This a prospective, nationwide, multicenter, cohort study covering all Eastern China, Northwest China, Central China, North China, Southwest China, Northeast China, and South China. Participants who were current smokers aged 18-85 years attending clinic for smoking cessation were included. All the participants were treated with 3-month cessation treatment and followed up for 3 months. Data were collected prospectively using online system. The primary outcome was 7-day point abstinence rate at 24 weeks, validated biochemically by an expired carbon monoxide level of less than 10 ppm. The participants lost to follow-up or not providing validation were included as non-abstainers. Findings: A representative sample of 3557 participants were recruited and 2943 participants were included into this analysis. These participants had mean age of 53.05 years, and 94.8% were males, with 75.8% showing symptoms of tobacco dependence. A total of 965 (32.8%) participants were treated with Bupropion + behavioural counselling, followed by 935 (31.8%) with behavioural counselling, 778 (26.4%) with Varenicline + behavioural counselling, 135 (4.6%) with alternative treatments + behavioural counselling, and 130 (4.4%) with nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) + behavioural counselling. After 3-month treatment and 3-month follow-up, 21.74% of the participants quit smoking at 24 weeks. In the multivariable-adjusted analyses, quitting smoking was significantly associated with female, higher socioeconomic status, poor health condition, different treatment received, and less smoking intensity. The tobacco cessation treatment varied widely across different areas of China. In particular, the areas with higher usage of cessation medication were associated with better cessation treatment outcome. Interpretation: The CNTCCS is the first large-scale nationwide cohort study of smoking cessation in China. Rich data collected from this prospective cohort study provided the opportunity to evaluate the clinical practice of tobacco cessation treatment in China. RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: High-flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) therapy is a leading treatment technique for acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF), but its treatment failure rate remains high. The awake prone position (APP) has been proven to increase oxygenation and reduce the endotracheal intubation rate in patients with COVID-19-induced AHRF. However, the APP is poorly tolerated in patients, and its performance in improving prognoses is controversial. The lateral position has a similar mechanism and effect to the prone position, but it is more tolerable than the prone position. Therefore, it is worth exploring whether the lateral position is better for awake patients with AHRF. METHODS: This is a protocol for a three-arm parallel-group multicentre randomised controlled open-label exploratory trial. A total of 583 patients from two hospitals in Chongqing, China, will be randomised to take the semi-recumbent position, lateral position, or prone position at a ratio of 1:1:1. Patients are all diagnosed with AHRF secondary to non-COVID-19 pneumonia or lung infection and receiving HFNO therapy. The primary outcome is ventilator-free days in 28 days. The secondary outcomes are the 28-day intubation rate, 28-day all-cause mortality, total position change time, the incidence of adverse events, number of hours using HFNO therapy, length of hospital and intensive care unit (ICU) stay, and others. We will conduct subgroup analyses on the arterial partial pressure of oxygen to the fraction of inspiration oxygen (PaO2/FiO2) ratio (> 200 mmHg or ≤ 200 mmHg), time from admission to intervention implementation (< 24 h or ≥ 24 h), position changing time, and different diagnoses. DISCUSSION: This trial will explore the prognostic effects of the APP with that of the lateral position in awake patients with non-COVID-19AHRF and compare the differences between them. To provide evidence for clinical decision-making and further research on position management. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This trial was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry. The registration number is ChiCTR2200055822 . Registered on January 20, 2022.

RESUMEN

Background: There are various cross-sectional studies that concluded that vitamin D is associated with blood pressure, but randomized controlled studies have not yielded consistent conclusions. Considering many limitations indeed, our study aimed to examine whether concentrations of 25(OH)D are inversely associated with blood pressure in people without a previous diagnosis of hypertension. Method: We analyzed data from the 2005-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated by applying multivariable logistic regression models. The dose-response relationship was assessed by means of restricted cubic spline regression, and stratification analyses were employed to test the consistency between the subgroups. Results: Of 17,467 participants aged ≥ 20 years without a previous diagnosis of hypertension, 4,769 had higher blood pressure. Compared with individuals whose 25(OH)D levels were in the bottom quartile (<44.3 nnol/L), adjusting for multiple confounders, the ORs for higher blood pressure were 0.90(95%CI 0.78, 1.05), 0.85(95%CI 0.72, 0.99), and 0.86(95%CI 0.72, 1.02), respectively (P for trend = 0.096). Furthermore, as a continuous variable, 25(OH)D concentrations were non-linearly associated with an increased risk of hypertension (P < 0.001). The interaction between the sleeplessness subgroup and higher blood pressure was significant (P = 0.042). Conclusion: In adults without a previous diagnosis of hypertension in the United States, concentrations of 25(OH)D were inversely associated with higher blood pressure when it was <84 nmol/L.

RESUMEN

The golden pompano (Trachinotus blochii), a pivotal commercial marine species in China, has gained significant popularity worldwide. However, accompanied with rapid growth and high density aquaculture, golden pompano has been seriously threatened by Nervous necrosis virus (NNV), while its molecular biology research regarding the innate immune system remains unexplored, which is crucial for understanding the activation of interferon (IFN) production and antiviral responses. In this study, we aimed to identify the characterization and function of golden pompano TANK-binding kinase 1 (gpTBK1), thereby providing evidence of the conservation of this classical factor in the RLR pathway among marine fish. Initially, we found the expression of gpTBK1 upregulation in diseased golden pompano with NNV infection and we successfully cloned the full-length open reading frame (ORF) of gpTBK1, consisting of 2172 nucleotides encoding 723 amino acids, from the head kidney. Subsequent analysis of the amino acid sequence revealed homology between gpTBK1 and other fish TBK1 proteins, with conserved N-terminal Serine/Threonine protein kinases catalytic domain (S_TKc) and C-terminal coiled coil domain (CCD). Moreover, the expression pattern showed that gpTBK1 exhibited ubiquitous expression across all evaluated tissues. Furthermore, functional identification experiments indicated that gpTBK1 activated interferon promoters' activity in golden pompano and induced the expression of downstream IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs). Notably, gpTBK1 was found to co-localize and interact with gpIRF3 in the cytoplasm. Collectively, these data provide a comprehensive analysis of the characterization and functional role of gpTBK1 in promoting interferon production. This research may facilitate the further study of the innate antiviral response, particularly the anti-NNV mechanisms, in golden pompano.

RESUMEN

Using intelligent agriculture is an important way for the industry to achieve high-quality development. To improve the accuracy of the identification of crop diseases under conditions of limited computing resources, such as in mobile and edge computing, we propose an improved lightweight MobileNetV2 crop disease identification model. In this study, MobileNetV2 is used as the backbone network for the application of an improved Bottleneck structure. First, the number of operation channels is reduced using point-by-point convolution, the number of parameters of the model is reduced, and the re-parameterized multilayer perceptron (RepMLP) module is introduced; the latter can capture long-distance dependencies between features and obtain local a priori information to enhance the global perception of the model. Second, the efficient channel-attention mechanism is added to adjust the image-feature channel weights so as to improve the recognition accuracy of the model, and the Hardswish activation function is introduced instead of the ReLU6 activation function to further improve performance. The final experimental results show that the improved MobilNetV2 model achieves 99.53% accuracy in the PlantVillage crop disease dataset, which is 0.3% higher than the original model, and the number of covariates is only 0.9M, which is 59% less than the original model. Also, the inference speed is improved by 8.5% over the original model. The crop disease identification method proposed in this article provides a reference for deployment and application on edge and mobile devices.

RESUMEN

Obesity has become a global pandemic. WDTC1 is a WD40-containing protein that functions as an anti-obesity factor. WDTC1 inhibits adipogenesis by working as an adaptor of the CUL4-DDB1 E3 ligase complex. It remains unclear about how WDTC1 is regulated. Here, we show that the TRiC/CCT functions as a chaperone to facilitate the protein folding of WDTC1 and proper function in adipogenesis. Through tandem purification, we identified the molecular chaperone TRiC/CCT as WDTC1-interacting proteins. WDTC1 bound the TRiC/CCT through its ADP domain, and the TRiC/CCT recognized WDTC1 through the CCT5 subunit. Disruption of the TRiC/CCT by knocking down CCT1 or CCT5 led to misfolding and lysosomal degradation of WDTC1. Furthermore, the knockdown of CCT1 or CCT5 eliminated the inhibitory effect of WDTC1 on adipogenesis. Our studies uncovered a critical role of the TRiC/CCT in the folding of WDTC1 and expanded our knowledge on the regulation of adipogenesis.

RESUMEN

Based on ambient air quality data, meteorological observation data, and satellite remote sensing data, the temporal and spatial variations in ozone (O3) pollution, the sensitivity of O3, and its relationship with meteorological factors in Hainan Island were analyzed in this study. The results showed that the maximum daily 8-h moving mean (O3-8h) in western and northern cities in Hainan Island was higher than that in the central, eastern, and southern cities. O3-8h was the highest in 2015, and O3-8h exceeding the standard proportion was the largest in 2019. In addition, O3-8h was positively correlated with average temperature (P<0.1), sunshine duration (P<0.01), total solar radiation (P<0.01), atmospheric pressure, and average wind speed and was negatively correlated with precipitation (P<0.05) and relative humidity. The satellite remote sensing data showed that the tropospheric NO2 column concentration (NO2-OMI) and HCHO column concentration (HCHO-OMI) displayed opposite trends in Hainan Island from 2015 to 2020. Compared with those in 2015, NO2-OMI increased by 7.74% and HCHO-OMI decreased by 10.2% in 2020. Moreover, Hainan Island belongs to the NOx control area, and the FNR value exhibited a fluctuating downward trend in the past 6 years, with a trend coefficient and climatic trend rate of -0.514 and -0.123 a-1, respectively. A strong correlation was observed between meteorological factors and the FNR value of Hainan Island.

RESUMEN

Luminescent supramolecular metallacycles have attracted great interest as a new promising class of sensing substrates. In this work, two tetraphenylethene (TPE)-based diimidazole and dipyrazole ligands with the aggregation-induced emission (AIE) feature were designed for the construction of supramolecular tetragonal metallacycles 1-4 with two 90° mononuclear [(bpy)M]2+ or dinuclear [(bpy)2M2]4+ acceptors (bpy = 2,2'-dipyridine; M = Pd, Pt), in which the fluorescence can be quenched to an "off" state due to the ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT). Metallacycle 1 was utilized as a fluorescence sensor for phosphate (PO43-) detection in aqueous solution by means of disassembly, leading to the release of the ligand. Additionally, the metallacycle can be regenerated through self-assembly via the introduction of Pd(II) acceptors. PO43- was detected using TPE-based metallacycles over a wide concentration range, with a detection limit as low as 2.1 × 10-8 M. Furthermore, sensor 1 also presented the semiquantitative visual detection ability for PO43- in the test paper mode via fluorescence changes. The aforementioned studies not only enhance the current research on fluorescent materials but also offer a strategy for the creation of stimuli-responsive supramolecular coordination complexes.

RESUMEN

A newly developed waste-to-energy system using a biomass combined energy system designed and taken into account for electricity generation, cooling, and freshwater production has been investigated and modeled in this project. The investigated system incorporates several different cycles, such as a biomass waste integrated gasifier-gas turbine cycle, a high-temperature fuel cell, a Rankine cycle, an absorption refrigeration system, and a flash distillation system for seawater desalination. The EES software is employed to perform a basic analysis of the system. They are then transferred to MATLAB software to optimize and evaluate the impact of operational factors. Artificial intelligence is employed to evaluate and model the EES software's analysis output for this purpose. By enhancing the flow rate of fuel from 4 to 6.5 kg/s, the cost rate and energy efficiency are reduced by 51% and increased by 6.5%, respectively. Furthermore, the maximum increment in exergetic efficiency takes place whenever the inlet temperature of the gas turbine rises. According to an analysis of three types of biomasses, Solid Waste possesses the maximum efficiency rate, work output, and expense. Rice Husk, in contrast, has the minimum efficiency, work output, and expense. Additionally, with the change in fuel discharge and gas turbine inlet temperature, the system behavior for all three types of biomasses will be nearly identical. The Pareto front optimization findings demonstrate that the best mode for system performance is an output power of 53,512 kW, a cost of 0.643 dollars per second, and a first law efficiency of 42%. This optimal value occurs for fuel discharge of 5.125 and the maximum inlet temperature for a gas turbine. The rates of water desalination and cooling in this condition are 18.818 kg/s and 2356 kW, respectively.

RESUMEN

Low-carbon and environmentally friendly living boosted the market demand for new energy vehicles and promoted the development of the new energy vehicle industry. Accurate demand forecasting can provide an important decision-making basis for new energy vehicle enterprises, which is beneficial to the development of new energy vehicles. From the perspective of an intelligent supply chain, this study explored the demand forecasting of new energy vehicles, and proposed an innovative SARIMA-LSTM-BP combination model for prediction modeling. The data showed that the RMSE, MSE, and MAE values of the SARIMA-LSTM-BP combination model were 2.757, 7.603, and, 1.912, respectively, all of which are lower values than those of the single models. This study therefore, indicated that, compared with traditional econometric forecasting models and deep learning forecasting models, such as the random forest, support vector regression (SVR), long short-term memory (LSTM), and back propagation neural network (BP) models, the SARIMA-LSTM-BP combination model performed outstandingly with higher accuracy and better forecasting performance.
